ABOUT ME

HelIo Traveler! You’ve made it all the way out here, allow me to introduce myself. I’m Lee, a freelance illustrator currently located in the United States.

My early work was influenced by Japanese pop culture, from lovable Ghibli movies to action packed anime, and the engaging narratives in manga. Having found video games at a later age showed me just how powerful art can be in storytelling. How it can resonate and connect the audience to new concepts and ideas. They are a great medium to express and create in a limitless space. I’ve currently just started a pursuit in game development.

I've cultivated my style and turned to 3D Blockbench, applying what I’ve learned from the traditional and digital learnings from my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree to the new style of game development. I have 2 years of experience as a Minecraft Artist with Gamemode One on the Sonic Texture Pack, Avatar Legends Bison Expansion Pack, and the 2023 Minecraft Mob Vote servers. With some experience in development to cosmetics for the Minecraft marketplace. But my favorite work has always been creating illustrations and concepts. Making merchandise for entertainers, events, Dungeon & Dragons streamers, and youtubers. This could consist of emotes, designs, character concepts, comics, and banners. Especially when helping some refine their style and design.

I enjoy the learning process, meaningful collaboration, and community engagement. Gaining new experiences through sharing ideas is important to my growth. Giving me new concepts while developing creatures, characters, and the environments they may live in. Focusing on ecology and a basis of realism to create a sense of narrative for the audience. The denizens of a world have an intrinsic connection to their surroundings, and that can show through many forms. From concepts, to thumbnails, to full illustrations designing a living and breathing world that an audience can get lost in has always been the driving core to my process.
